High quality MPP solar controller for motorhomes, caravans and boats. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" (Maximum Power Point) series with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics are connected as a link between the solar panels and the battery (s). With MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. Then, it transforms the excess voltage of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (implemented by high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency). This gain in charging current ensures shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's energy. MPP solar controllers work fully automatically, they do not need maintenance.

Current battery charge. I / II max. [UN] 31.5 / 1.0
Adjustable battery type = Acid, Gel, AGM, LiFePO4

They offer the following functions:

Increased MPP charging current compared to conventional controllers by using the latest controller technology (microprocessor) between 10% and 30% (efficiency> 95%). The increase in yield is particularly evident in the colder and z season. B. with high fog, less diffuse lighting (hibernation).

To charge lead-gel, lead-AGM, lead-acid or complete LiFePO4 batteries (with integrated, balanced BMS, safety circuit and homologation!) Of the specified nominal voltages and the co-supply of consumers connected to these batteries permanently installed Systems with specified battery capacities and charging schedules.
The charging voltage is free of spikes and is regulated in such a way that overcharging the batteries is impossible.

Two battery charging outputs: automatic battery charging from the main power board (BORD I) as well as charging support and charge hold (max. 1 A) from the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with protection against overload.

Charging without monitoring: standard protection against overcharging, overheating, reverse polarity and battery discharge (if the solar energy is too low, for example, at dusk, at night, etc.).

Parallel / Buffered Operation - Compliance with load standards even when consumers are running at the same time.

Overcharge Protection: Regulates the battery charging current when there is too much solar power and a full battery, ensures the battery is charged as high as possible by immediate recharging when power is consumed.

Charging characteristic “IU1oU2”: Defined increase in charge voltage (U1) prevents harmful acid layers (lead) and ensures equalization of individual battery cells (lead and lithium), followed by automatic trickle charge ( U2).
Charging Cable Compensation - Voltage losses in charging cables are automatically compensated for.

On-board mains filter: trouble-free parallel operation with wind and motor generators, mains chargers, alternators, etc.
Measurement output for EBL, possibly existing electroblock in the vehicle seating area - allows the convenient use of a built-in (solar) power display in the electroblock to control the solar system.

Be sure to check the compatibility of your Schaudt Electric Block (EBL) and the corresponding display and control panel in advance as we cannot accept any responsibility for this.

"AES" switching output (MPP 250, MPP 350 and MPP 430 only): Causes refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector, Electrolux / Dometic) to automatically switch from gas operation to 12V if there is a permanent excess of solar energy.

Connection for battery temperature sensor (Item No. 2001): With lead acid batteries, the charging voltage automatically adjusts to the battery temperature, resulting in a better full charge of the weaker battery in cold weather, in summer temperatures unnecessary battery gassing and charging avoided.

LiFePO4 batteries: Protection of the battery at high and especially at low temperatures, highly recommended if the battery temperature may drop below 0 ° C during operation.
Plug-in ready for connection of Votronic LCD-Solar Computer S solar display devices for optimal system control.
